2026 Framework Enhancement Feedback and Meeting Notes

Member feedback and session summaries from the four-week working series that shaped Framework 4.0.

Between June 2 and June 23, 2026, MIC members met in four weekly working sessions to review and refine every principle in the Multifamily Impact Framework ahead of the Framework 4.0 release. Each session below has its own page with the meeting notes converted to web text, the recording where one is available, and a downloadable PDF of the notes.

The 2026 Working Sessions

June 2, 2026 | Session 1 of 4

Affordability and Resident Engagement

The opening session tackled the first two principles, with members pressing on whether the two-layer affordability definition reads clearly to newcomers and how to put more decision-making power in residents’ hands.

June 9, 2026 | Session 2 of 4

Housing Stability and Economic Health & Mobility

Week two covered housing stability and economic health and mobility, and kept returning to a harder question: are resident programs actually working, or just present?

June 16, 2026 | Session 3 of 4

Health and Wellness & Climate and Resilience

Week three worked line by line through the health and wellness and climate and resilience principles, with outside experts joining and heat risk emerging as an item that belongs in both.

June 23, 2026 | Session 4 of 4

Good Business and Framework Rollout

The final session closed the substantive review with the good business principle and turned to rollout planning: conferences, press formats, and co-branding options for Framework 4.0.
