Using the Multifamily Impact Framework™
Organizations that use the Multifamily Impact Framework™ to enhance their impact strategies join a platform of leaders from across the multifamily sector who are committed to meeting industry standards of excellence for delivering impact to their renters and communities.
Who can use the Framework?
- There is no certification requirement for organizations that use the Framework. Any owner/operator, investor, lender, or service provider that is active in the multifamily sector and interested in expanding their level of impact can use the framework. Membership in the Multifamily Impact Council is not required, and there is no fee required to download or use the framework.
- The MIC asks that organizations make a good faith, public commitment to supporting the impact principles in the Framework and recognize the Multifamily Impact Council Framework in their annual impact reporting.
- Organizations that download and use the Framework are also asked to provide the MIC with feedback and any examples of best practices that we can use to further enhance the Framework for the betterment of the industry.
How do organizations use the Framework?
Property owners/operators use the Framework to guide their impact-driven acquisition, rehabilitation, and property/asset management practices.
Investors and lenders use the Framework to guide their investment policies, due diligence, and/or product development practices.
Service providers use the Framework to both ensure that their impact-related products meet the minimum threshold requirement(s) of the specific impact principle they are addressing and incorporate the Framework in their reporting metrics
Impact Advisory and Reporting Firms use the framework and reporting metrics to consulting services and reporting products they provide to the industry.
Benefits and Support for Organizations Who Use the Framework
- Access to ongoing, high-level technical assistance and support from MIC staff.
- Use of the Impact Framework “User” logo on a royalty-free, non-exclusive license basis.
- Access to training curriculum and educational materials.
- Recognition on the MIC website and social media channels.
- The opportunity to share your impact report on the MIC website and social media channels to increase your organization’s exposure to like-minded owner-operators, service providers, and capital providers.
